Many startups and established businesses use this technique to get the best talents to fill job vacancies. Nowadays, job seekers tend to link up with potential employers to get hired. However, most of them do not have what it takes to deliver the best quality services. It is, therefore, essential to know how you can attract more applicants to your job fair booth. These techniques are ideal for any exhibition company in London.

Be Ready and Professional

The job attendees must recognise the name of your company without asking around. Make sure that you create a banner and that you make it as detailed as possible, including the uniform that the workers would wear. Try to have the booth set up before the commencement of the exhibition. It is unwise to work on it after the presentation as started since that would look unprofessional, hence deterring the job attendees. Have your promotional material well placed on the table. You should also have some colour added to make it clearer.

The main goal of this technique is to make you stand out from the competition. Encourage your recruiters to have their job cards on so that they can be identified easily by the potential job applicants.

Utilise Technology

There is no need for you to spend hundreds or thousands of pounds on technology at a job fair. Also, you can include hours of work and testimonials from the current employees. If the applicants ask for photos of the work environment, you should be ready to show it to them. Be Available

It is not a good idea to have your recruiters standing behind the booth all day long waiting for the applicants to come. Instead, have them present in front of the booth and urge them to start conversations with the attendees as they pass by. Your aim is to appear as inviting as possible. If your recruiters are available and the job applicants ask any question, they will receive an immediate response. This is vital during a job fair.

Have Something to Offer for Free

This tip works best if the job fair is held in a college or university. As long as you had a budget for it, make sure that you get promotional items to attract as many applicants as possible. These could be food or refreshment for the attendees. This is an excellent way to draw more attention to your attendees. It is vital that you only offer something that your company can afford to lose. If you are offering something for free, ensure that you research what your potential applicants might like.

Advertise the Open Positions

Other than making a clear display of the business and logo at the job fair, make sure that you advertise the job positions so that the applicants are sure about what is there for them. It might be hard generating buzz if only a few people are aware that there are job positions that you are looking to fill instantly. If there is an open position coming on in the future, don't hesitate to announce them as well. This is the right time to inform the potential applicants about the existence of a company website from which they can get more information.


There are many ways that could be used to draw attention to your booth during a job fair. One of the things you should consider is the nature of the job applicants you are looking for. Once you have done that, do your level best to have their attention so that they learn more about your company. Also, it essential to have your recruiters available at all times, just in case the attendees want to learn something about your organisation.
